Francesco Ferrini

Francesco Ferrini is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Techfem.

Winner of the 2nd Worthington European award, he was employed by Worthington in the R&D department.

Since 1974 in Snamprogetti he has led the Pipeline R&D department and in particular the transport of solid-liquid mixtures and liquid multiphase gas. In 1981 he became head of the process department for conduct, with responsibility also for R&D activities.

In 1984 he founded Techfem. He is still active in the development of new business areas such as Up-stream multiphase flow assurance, Precommissioning on- and offshore, Pipeline Integrity Management Systems.

He was one of the founders, in 1982, of the ANIMP section on multiphase flows in industrial plants.

He is the author of numerous publications on multiphase transport presented in several international conferences and published in the main specialized magazines.

He is also the author of patents related to the production process of stable coal-water mixtures and treating MTBE-contaminated wastewater.
