AI for students – A journey with Techfem toward a future of digital awareness

“What skills should students develop to work in the field of Artificial Intelligence?”

This is just one of the more than 100 questions asked by students after the first session of the project “Artificial Intelligence for students – A journey with Techfem toward a a future of digital awareness.”

We started with a clear goal: creating a network between private company, research field, and education, offering 16 to 18 years old students from Lamezia Terme and Fano a meaningful contribution from the scientific landscape.
And we did so by involving top-level academics, with the aim of stimulating critical thinking and curiosity among younger generations.

After the first meeting with Prof. Francesco Calimeri, professor at UNICAL and CEO of DLVSystem, expert in Logic, Artificial Intelligence, and Bioinformatics, we received a wealth of thoughtful questions.
We collected them, grouped them into main topics, and shared them with Prof. Georg Gottlob, professor at UNICAL and the University of Oxford, and one of the world’s leading experts in AI.

His responses offered us a broad, deep, and inspiring perspective on the impact of AI on society and on our future.

Thank you to the teachers from the participating schools for embracing the project with such enthusiasm, and to all the students who, through their questions, showed a strong awareness of both the present and the future.
